Banco Santander / TEC de Monterrey
Paint a series of artistic murals inside of Santander’s bank branch inside of one of the most prestigious Universities in Mexico. The purpose of the intervention was to create an ideal environment for innovation and creativity. The branch will be used by thousands of students, so the overall goal is to bring the bank closer to a younger audience.
Tecnológico de Monterrey University is one of the most important universities in Mexico. The murals at the bank branch, will be enjoyed by thousands of people everyday. The campus where the branch is located has around 17,000 enrolled students.
Arto Studio commissioned Mexican artist Javier Santana (a.k.a. Arre) to paint three artistic murals inside Santander’s branch. The murals were placed in three different areas. One of them outside at the ATMs area, and two of them inside of the building, locating one of them strategically at the top of the reception area .
Arre’s artistic work is based on abstract and geometric art, with a predilection on the balance and composition, as a consequence of a spiritual and philosophical search that transforms the place and the thoughts of the spectator.
